As part of our contemporary design module we went on a class trip to Holland visiting Amsterdam, Delft, Eindhoven and based ourselves in Rotterdam. This was a great experience and a well worth while trip. On the first two day myself, Iain and Ronan ate in a restaurant called Bazar. We were just strolling around the streets looking for somewhere to get lunch and we stumbled across Bazar It was so vibrant and unique. On entering the restaurant I knew it was somewhere I would never forget the atmosphere and décor were just so unique and it had character which most restaurants these days lack as allot seem to be carbon copies of each other.

Whilst over in Holland as well I noticed there was  no cider and me being a cider drink initially found this a bit of a bummer. However unlike here in Ireland they have a huge selection of beers which are actually nice and all taste different, I am no beer connoisseur but these were really tasty beers. Its kind of ironic that the only picture I have of my favourite beer is on a Heineken beer matt.

On the 3rd day we visited Eindhoven, the Philips museums and Philips head quarters. After this we went for food in a real classy restaurant called USINE the attention to detail in this place was one of the best I have ever seen and the food was pretty good as well. The pictures below explain best but a little background info first, the first picture is of a design cut out in every table in the restaurant and the second is of a biscuit served with the coffee.
